.أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَجْمِلُوا فِى الطَّلَبِ فَإِنَّ نَفْسًا لَنْ تَمُوتَ حَتَّى تَسْتَوْفِىَ رِزْقَهَا وَإِنْ أَبْطَأَ عَنْهَا فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَجْمِلُوا فِى الطَّلَبِ خُذُوا مَا حَلَّ وَدَعُوا مَا حَرُمَ
.
“Wahai umat manusia, bertakwalah engkau kepada Allah, dan tempuhlah jalan yang baik dalam mencari rezeki, karena sesungguhnya tidaklah seorang hamba akan mati, hingga ia benar-benar telah mengenyam seluruh rezekinya, walaupun terlambat datangnya. Maka bertakwalah kepada Allah, dan tempuhlah jalan yang baik dalam mencari rezeki. Tempuhlah jalan-jalan mencari rezeki yang halal dan tinggalkan yang haram.” (HR. Ibnu Majah no. 2144, dikatakan shahih oleh Syaikh Al Albani).

Dalam hadits tersebut terdapat dua maslahat yang diperintahkan untuk dicari yaitu maslahat dunia dan maslahat akhirat. Maslahat dunia dengan pekerjaan yang halal, maslahat akhirat dengan takwa.

Ibnul Qayyim rahimahullah menyebutkan alasan kenapa dua hal itu digabungkan. Beliau berkata, “Nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam menggabungkan antara maslahat dunia dan akhirat dalam hadits “Bertakwalah engkau kepada Allah, dan tempuhlah jalan yang baik dalam mencari rezeki.” .
Nikmat dan kelezatan akhirat bisa diraih dengan ketakwaan pada Allah. Ketenangan hati dan badan serta tidak rakus dan serakah pada dunia, dan tidak ada rasa capek dalam mengejar dunia, itu bisa diraih jika seseorang memperbagus dalam mencari rezeki.

Oleh karenanya, siapa yang bertakwa pada Allah, maka ia akan mendapatkan kelezatan dan kenikmatan akhirat. Siapa yang menempuh jalan yang baik dalam mencari rezeki (ijmal fii tholab), maka akan lepas dari rasa penat dalam mengejar dunia. Hanyalah Allah yang memberikan pertolongan.” (Lihat Al Fawaid, hal. 96).

Berarti jika kita mendapatkan keuntungan dunia dan akhirat serta tidak ada rasa letih dalam mencari nafkah, maka cukupkanlah diri pada pekerjaan yang halal.
